ERIKA FUNG

x GATA MAGAZINE

Meeting Erika Fung was Crush at First Sight.

From the beginning, we felt the need of creating something together and share her creativivy to delight the rest of the world with her characteristic energy.

Erika is not only a hairstylist but also a creator. She uses her head and mouth-pieces as a way to express herself through different materials.

Along with the photographers Hiroshi Asakura (digital), Marta Espinosa (analog) and M.Y.O.B. NYC, GATA exposes this project to show Erika's new 3D printed art-pieces.

“I started creating the headpieces during September and October. My headpieces are usually created by exploring and going deeper with my own emotions and feelings. I believe my headpieces are a representation of myself in an artistic form during a specific period of time.”

Born and raised in Toronto. Her passion and love for art and creativity have helped her hone her craft as she consistently explores her creations.
