Mess. Blood. Love!: Vex Ashley is back with a GATA exclusive editorial

GATA is delighted to welcome back the queen of avant garden pornography, Vex Ashley with a new and exclusive editorial that is bringing a whole new meaning to the concept of milk. Shot by photographer Jonny Kaye, the images feature some classic fetish staples, with latex pieces, slimy goo, and a low resolution finish that feels like we’ve uncovered a stashed away porno flick from the early 2000s. 

Since we last spoke to Vex in 2021, her project Four Chambers has gone from strength to strength exploring themes such as the psychology of cuckolding, sleep paralysis demons and the interiors of the body. When asked about the state of current state of erotic filmmaking, the artist had plenty to say on the matter, “We have to fight to exist and definitely not getting any easier but with the way things are going in the world, we need to think and fuck creatively more than ever.”

In a world wrapped up, at the best of times, in a torrent of chaos, perhaps this rally call to embrace our primal urges might not be such a bad idea.
