STARDUST - A Cosmic Editorial

In cinema classics like “The Man Who Fell to Earth” and “2001”, creators have used their enchantment with the dark reaches of space, to create novel and new art. In particular the idea of life visiting our planet-a life that is wildly and distinctly different-that has most set our pulses racing. This fascination with an unknown being, whose composition and essence differs from us, has created both fear and curiosity.

With the new editorial “STARDUST” this idea has been expressed in the form of still imagery. It imagines a alien-being covered in cosmic dust and how something so different could be perceived through our limited senses.

Using reflective fabrics and makeup, certain features of the being’s form are highlighted, creating an unsettling and otherworldly feeling. Like some extraterrestrial camouflage, the effect is mesmerising, giving the impression of a seductive and mysterious being shining in the dark night.
