GATA presents CYBER DOLL - An Editorial

The world as we know it is falling in on itself. What remains is a digital vacuum of binary relationships, glitches and augmented perception. The era of the post-human has begun. Cyber Doll is an exclusive editorial from GATA—inspired by the philosophical themes of Mamoru Oshii’s Ghost in the Shell—exploring the relationship between humans and their digital realm. A tension between organic identity and the inevitability of a cyborg future.

For this editorial, GATA collaborated with acclaimed contemporary rope artist, Hajime Kinoko—whose innovative work with “shibari” has changed the art world’s perception of what is possible regarding bondage, sculpture and installation art. The result of which, is a series perfectly encapsulating the dark and warped reality of GATA Magazine.
