What happens when you fuse your fervent nostalgia for cinema with the latest developments in AI technology? That is the key question posed by the team of creatives behind GATA’s latest exclusive editorial; a nostalgic trip down memory lane into the core films that defined our generation—the aptly named project “Cult Cinema”.
Merging iconic characters that we have all come to love and admire, with AI-generated sets and designs, the editorial is a reimagining of the past, beautifully thrust into a modern context. Featuring a team of creatives from China, the images bring life to characters from a range of films, such as “Kill Bill”, “Love Exposure” and “Perfect Blue” and feature an eclectic collection of some of the most exciting brands in fashion right now; such as Luqi Yu’s dreamy Nφdress and the edgy, and revealing designs of Rui Zhou.
