KURI - A GATA Editorial
GATA presents an experimental, forward-thinking editorial straight from the burgeoning scene of Lisbon; a series of images inspired by the visual style of manga, that captures the spirit of punk and experimentation. Fusing elements of tradition and innovation, the editorial plays with form and proportion, exaggerating limbs and contorting them beyond what is reasonable.
Created by a team of young and ambitious Portuguese creatives, Kuri is a showcase for their experimental skills, pushing the limits of creative software and edgy fashion. Featuring liberty spikes, moody silhouettes and smoky trails, the images showcase a devilish punk figure twisting its body into beguiling shapes and forms. By using traditional lighting setups alongside digital manipulation and editing, the images marry the old and new, resulting in a beautiful blend of eras.
Created by a team of varying languages and backgrounds, Kuri is a testament to the exciting things that are coming out of Lisbon right now; a hub of radical creative energy.
